A workshop on using artificial intelligence to enhance business revenue and profitability will be held in Pasadena, featuring expert insights from CEO Cho-Nan Tsai.
Pasadena business owners will soon have the chance to delve into the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in a dedicated workshop set to take place on Friday, 4th October. This educational event is poised to provide essential insights on harnessing AI technologies to enhance both revenue and profitability, an increasingly pertinent topic given the rapid advancements in technology and changing business landscapes.
The workshop, titled “How to Use AI to Grow Your Business,” will be held at FoundrSpace Coworking, located on North Raymond Avenue in Pasadena. The presentation is part of the Friday Morning Coffee Meetup series, organised by Innovate Pasadena, a nonprofit established in 2012 to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.
Cho-Nan Tsai, CEO and President of the AI consulting firm Hyperionsoft, will be the workshop’s featured speaker. Tsai, who brings 25 years of experience in the technology sector, will debunk common misconceptions about AI while emphasising that AI is not a simple plug-and-play solution. “AI is really not a plug and play solution. You can’t just say, okay, AI is going to come in and solve everything in my organization,” Tsai explained, highlighting the complexities and resource allocations involved in effective AI implementation.
During the session, Tsai is expected to share a range of success stories and practical advice tailored especially for small businesses seeking to integrate AI into their operations. His presentation will touch upon how more specialised AI applications are being developed across various industries, from construction and digital marketing to financial planning.
In addition to discussing practical applications, Tsai will address the ethical considerations vital when adopting AI technologies. This includes the importance of maintaining privacy protections and the responsible use of data. “We need to take note of some of these privacy and data protection for people because one question to ask is, Hey, whose data are we using to train?” he remarked, stressing the significance of consent, given that much of today’s data is user-generated.
The workshop aligns closely with Pasadena’s burgeoning reputation as a leading innovation hub. The city benefits from a well-educated workforce, with a significant 70% of residents holding bachelor’s degrees or higher. This academic vitality is further supported by the presence of esteemed institutions like Caltech and the ArtCenter College of Design.
Scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, the workshop is free for participants, courtesy of sponsorship by Friday Morning Coffee Meetup and Innovate Pasadena.
