This feature has already been available to Google Maps users in the United States since February, where it was met with positive feedback.

Moreover, Google Maps users in India will now have the ability to search for specific experiences. For instance, they can request information on “unique picnic spots” or search for businesses offering “themed birthday cakes”. This functionality is supported by advanced image recognition technology that links specific labels and descriptions of places to user queries. The results will be presented in an image-first format, highlighting photos uploaded by businesses and users.

In an effort to enhance user safety and navigation comfort, Google has also incorporated new weather alert features. These updates will notify users of challenging weather conditions, such as low visibility owing to fog or potential flooding on streets.
