At the upcoming NADA Show 2025 in New Orleans, CDK Global will present its innovative hybrid intelligence model, which aims to revolutionise the automotive industry by combining human insights with advanced technology.
CDK Global is set to make a significant impact at the upcoming NADA Show 2025, scheduled to take place in New Orleans from January 23 to 26. The company aims to highlight the advantages of its hybrid intelligence model over traditional artificial intelligence (AI) solutions within the automotive industry. Hybrid intelligence combines CDK’s extensive industry experience, rich market data, and advanced technological capabilities, designed to enhance efficiency for dealerships, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and independent software developers.
As AI technology becomes increasingly adept at handling vast amounts of data through pattern recognition, it still lacks essential human traits, such as reasoning and creativity. This gap is addressed through hybrid intelligence, which merges both human insights and machine learning to achieve superior outcomes. “Our world — and technologies within it — are rapidly evolving. To ensure our industry keeps pace with these tremendous shifts, it takes a leader like CDK to build a strong foundation of purpose-built software with a combination of experience, scale and significant investment in innovation,” said Sanjay Almeida, Chief Product Officer at CDK, speaking to AutoSuccess.
CDK’s strategic positioning in the automotive retail ecosystem allows it to respond effectively to current market challenges and opportunities. The company’s products account for over 50% of new light vehicle sales in the U.S. and manage 55% of all repair orders. CDK integrates with more than 60 OEM brands and connects with 600 independent software partners through over 1,200 applications, which collectively facilitate over four billion transactions each year.
The implementation of hybrid intelligence within the CDK Dealership Xperience enhances the company’s suite of offerings. This system synthesises transaction data with decades of human expertise tailored to meet the needs of dealerships. The integration results in valuable insights and automated workflows that seamlessly fit into the existing platform, thereby reducing the need for dealership staff to undergo extensive training on separate tools.
One of the critical features is the CDK Artificial Intelligence Virtual Assistant (AIVA), which supports dealers with real-time, personalized messaging services across text and email. This tool can respond to consumer inquiries in over 50 languages and offers a ChatGPT-like interaction for straightforward questions, such as inquiries about monthly expenses.
In addition to AIVA, CDK employs machine learning in its Predictive Service and Service Customer Engagement offerings. These innovations help service departments identify prospective repair needs according to data from similarly specified vehicles. AI-enhanced features such as noise cancellation in multipoint inspection videos and real-time sentiment analysis provide immediate insights into customer experiences.
Moreover, the Customer Propensity to Buy feature utilises predictive modelling within dealer Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. This capability assists dealerships in identifying potential buyers, thereby streamlining the process of generating sales leads for new vehicles and trade-ins. CDK also optimises vehicle inventory management, helping dealerships merchandise cars promptly using consistent photography and AI-generated descriptions, which can accelerate sales.
“By infusing hybrid intelligence into our solutions, we’re empowering our customers to focus their resources in areas that provide the most value. Ultimately, this improves the overall experience and satisfaction of both dealership employees and their guests,” Almeida stated.
As the automotive industry continues to evolve through advancements in technology, CDK’s commitment to developing an integrated approach that combines human intelligence with AI is poised to address the future needs of dealerships and enhance operational efficiency.
